   - Polyurethane (Vk..) intermediate rings: Provide electrical insulation between connected machines (if no other conductive connections exist).  
   - Buna N (Pb) / VkB-grade intermediate rings: Typically conductive, preventing undesirable electrostatic charges.  

2. Torsional Vibration & Damping Properties
   - No torsional vibrations: The torsional elasticity shifts dangerous vibrations to non-critical speed ranges.  
   - Reduction in torque shocks: High internal damping suppresses excessive vibrations, mitigates shock impacts, and quickly dissipates oscillations.  
   - Prevents structure-borne noise transmission.
